Grey Rock Press is the community art and language zine imprint of Penpals for Palestine!
For each public workshop, we invite participants to submit original works for consideration in a DIY-style, grayscale zine published under our imprint. Our first edition is on the theme of Water and Ritual with entries by participating artists , Penpal Club Members and workshop participants.
As a part of the Water and Ritual workshop, held May 31st, 2025 for our inaugural event for the closing reception for Air Alone (in my dream)., new work by Kim Altomare and Melina Ausikaitis. Kim Altomare provided paper making demos, local artist Cindy Stockton Moore led a organic paint making workshop, using turmeric and pomegranate while we had a postcard and mobile mural making station as a part of Penpals for Palestine!' experimental correspondence art exchange with Yaqeen Yamani and the Jericho Cinema Club.
Each zine zine will be archived community libraries—including the Children's Community Library in Kensington—and shared across the U.S. They will also available online as printable PDFs for suggested donation.
